About Love Dogs Camp

Located on a 5 acre ranch, dogs receive personalized attention and lots of love while they are away from their families. LDC's service is designed as a home away from home. Dogs may go freely between the house and fenced yard, and just like home, always sleep inside a house with loving humans.

We take great care to recreate the routine and the level of affection dogs experience at home, so they don't go through the stress of feeling abandoned, but instead, experience fun playmates and another family which loves them. For doggies allowed to eat human food, Carolyn is famous for cooking them poached chicken (with no hormones or antibiotics), cage free eggs and even crepes! During holiday time, dogs get special holiday dinners to celebrate the holiday.

All dogs and families are interviewed before being accepted for daycare or boarding, so dog owners don't have to worry about their dog being left with overly aggressive or problem dogs at the Camp. If you are interested in leaving your dog at Love Dogs Camp, please click on form, complete the application and click on "submit". Once we receive your application, we will contact you to set up an interview visit for you and your dog.

Please read this over carefully so you have all the required information, packed the required items to make your first visit a positive one for you and our staff.

1.This camp is on a 5 acre ranch - that means your dog will not remain clean because we allow them to play and dig and have fun. If it is important to you that your dog be returned clean, then please order a bath before pick up.

2. Bringing your dog(s) with short haircuts is an effective way to reduce the probability of foxtails. We do everything possible to keep them to a minimum inside the fenced areas, and to check your dogs several times a day to pull off foxtails that might stick to their bodies and/or paws. If you do not want your dog exposed to dirt or foxtails, it is better to chose a different pet sitting environment.

3. Be prepared to bring your dog on a leash - Please make sure his/her name is on the leash - .We will meet you outside with your boarding agreement (for first time visitors) for signature, and take the dog into the house without you.

4.Because your dog sleeps in our home, we request that you bring a clean dog for sleepovers; if a bath is required, it will be added to your fees.

5. Please bring a sealed container -we recommend an 18 gallon bin which includes all of the items listed below:

    a. Label on sealed container (not duffle or paper bag) including your dog's name, his normal food (1 1/2 cups 2xper day, for example) and human food ok - or no human food. Please put your dog's name on key items inside the container like the treat bag/box, etc.
    b. Written Proof of immunizations from vet: Rabies, Distemper, Parvo-Virus, and Proof - if Spayed/neutered. -a copy MUST be provided for our files at the time of drop off or we will not be able to accept your dog. This is for your dog's first visit, not each visit.
    c. Dog bed - even if you do not use one at home, if you are not bringing a crate, a dog bed must be provided, since dogs need beds for nap time and sleeping. If you do not bring a doggie bed or crate, then we will charge you $5 extra per day to rent one of ours.
    d. Medication with instructions (if required)
    e. Payment for the amount of the fees and any extras (like baths, massages) in an envelope inside the container - please confirm the correct amount with Love Dogs Camp in advance of arrival - don't take the time to figure it out when you arrive. Fees must be paid in full when you drop off your dog.
    f. Please bring a generous supply of pet food and treats (no tiny treats please)- some dogs start their day at 4 or 5am, and require more food because they expend much more energy here than at home. We do not share your pet food with other dogs - we do rotate treats with other dogs.
g.There will be extra fees charged if there is not enough food or treats provided. If the food you bring requires refrigeration or space in our freezer, please check with us first.
    h. Please also bring rawhide for night time. If your dog is not allowed to have rawhide, please write "No Rawhide" on the food container.

4. Other:

    a. Flea Treatment must be current - don't bring anything, just make sure it's current.
b.Make sure your contact information and emergency name and phone number are current

5.Please be on time always - if you are running early or late, please call us at 474-8092 - otherwise, please be punctual!

RESERVATIONS AND FEE Policies:
Deposit - During extra busy times, such as holidays and summertime, a deposit may be required for reservations. One week cancellations during these times will be required for a deposit refund.

1. 48 Hour Cancellation: Because staffing schedules are arranged weekly, we require a 48 hour cancellation on all reservations. Otherwise, you will be charged a $50 cancellation fee. This cancellation must occur with a live member of LDC staff by phone (as opposed to voice mail or e-mail).
2. Holiday reservations: Because of the demand, LDC now requires a 2 day deposit to secure holiday reservations . This deposit is non-refundable, so make sure your plans are firm before reserving dates. Holiday rates are higher, so check with LDC before you send in your deposit.
3. No refunds are issued if you pick up your dog earlier than your reserved dates.

Cleaning/Damage Deposit: A cleaning or damage deposit of $50 is required at the time of drop off or pick up for puppies or dogs likely to have or who have had accidents requiring a cleaning service, or damage existing furniture or doggie beds. This deposit will be returned if there are no accidents or damage.

Pre-Visits for First Time Visitors: LDC often requires that you bring your dog for a minimum one day visit (and some times several one day visits) before you leave your dog here for the first time sleepover. This especially applies to dogs who have not been socialized, dogs who experience separation anxiety and rescue dogs, all of whom may have abandonment issues. Please check with LDC when you make first time reservations to determine if this will be a requirement for your dog, and to determine what to bring.

Daycare and Sleepover rates depend on time of year, requirements of each dog, so please confirm your fees at the time you make your reservations.

Monthly daycare does not include week-ends or holidays.

Doggie Massage: $20 per massage
